The indie shelf
This tool stays focused on one job. Other tools by turushan are ready for the next small task.
Straight answers about IndiePDF: what the result means, what to do with it, and why there is no catch.
No asterisks hiding down hereDrop the files onto the workspace, or choose them with the button. IndiePDF opens each one in your browser tab and shows every page as a thumbnail, in file order. Add more files at any point. When the order looks right, download one finished PDF. The output names its file count, page count, and size, so you can see what went in and what came out.
Select the pages, then use the buttons: move up or down, rotate left or right, remove, or keep only the selection. On a desktop you can also drag a page card to a new spot. Multi-select works across files, so one action can rotate pages from three sources at once. Undo and redo cover every step, and Clear empties the workspace.
Yes. Select the pages you want and press Keep only. Every other page leaves the workspace, and the download holds just your selection, in the order you arranged. This is the same move as removing pages, seen from the other side: keep three pages of a fifty page report, or remove three from it, whichever is less clicking.
Yes. Turn numbering on, pick one of six positions along the top or bottom edge, and set the starting number, from 0 to 99999. Numbers follow the final page order, so a page you moved gets the number of its new place. Each card previews its number where the export will print it. The export prints it upright after any rotation, in Helvetica, sized to the page. Numbering is off by default and changes nothing else.
IndiePDF does not open encrypted PDFs yet, and says so instead of guessing. Remove the password in the program that set it, or in a viewer that already has it, then import the file without its password.
A signed PDF is different: it opens, but IndiePDF warns that saving a changed copy invalidates the signature, and the download waits until you confirm that you know.
Pages are copied as pages, not rendered to images, so text stays selectable and vector graphics stay sharp. Bookmarks and interactive form fields might not survive the new document. IndiePDF does not compress, repair, sign, redact, or edit text, and it does not claim to. If the job needs one of those, do it in a dedicated tool after the pages are in order.
Yes. No account, no card, no premium plan, no upgrade nag, no hidden paywall. IndiePDF is free, all of it.
There is no public lookup history. A network check sends the public input needed for that check to its named source. Local file tools process file contents in your browser. Analytics is currently off, so no visit or job data is sent to a tracker. Anything the tool saves for you stays in your browser.
